Shoes: Joggers

The Nike Flyknit joggers.
Sport shoes are good for one thing; Sport. You should not use them for anything other than sport as they are quite unflattering. Increasingly companies such as Nike and Adidas are trying to merge the sneaker and sport worlds together through fashion forward designs of sport shoes. However, this is not a sign that sport shoes are becoming socially acceptable to wear other than for sport. A good sport shoe provides adequate comfort whilst running and is fitted to your feet correctly. By not buying a proper shoe, it can create major posture and walking related problems later on in life, so it is imperative to choose the correct shoe for your feet.

Shoes: Sneakers

Adidas Stan Smith's a classic and versatile white sneaker.
Sneakers are quite possibly the most versatile pair of shoes you can own. They are generally a lot cheaper and more comfortable than chukka boots, and go well with many types of outfits. There are three different cuts to sneakers: Low, mid, and high. Low tops are the most versatile of them all, you have no restriction beside formal wear if you choose to wear low top sneakers. Mid top sneakers are typically the size of a chukka boot and can get quite awkward with pant lengths as it is such an in between cut of shoe. High tops are worn by the fashion forward as they are highly stylised.

Shoes: Chukkas/Desert Boots

Suede Clarks' Desert Boots.
Chukkas are ankle-length boots, usually with three pairs of eyelets for lacing, and are made from calfskin or suede, usually with rubber soles. Desert boots are similar to Chukkas, but looser at the ankle and with a crepe sole. These shoes are typical used in smart casual situations and rarely worn with a suit. It can be said that chukkas/desert boots are slightly more formal than a fashion sneaker. It is mostly paired with long pants such as chinos and jeans which are paired on top with a sport coat, or button up shirt. It is useful for creating a more casual vibe with typically formal clothing.
